What we can offer;

Our Gambling Harm Prevention & Education Coordinators (pictured far right) provide FREE gambling and gaming harms awareness workshops.  

We deliver across the North East of England directly to young people, as well as to professionals engaging with young people, with an emphasis on safeguarding and online safety.

We will support young people and professionals to be more aware of the signs and symptoms of gambling harms, signposting to relevant and appropriate specialist support as and when required.

We provide resources to assist local youth services and teachers in identifying young people at risk from gambling and gaming harms.

Through our programme's we aim to;

  • Enable young people to access honest, accurate and relevant information about gambling and gaming harms.
  • Enable young people to make informed choices about gambling and gaming.
  • Ensure professionals, parents/carers are aware of the impacts, signs and symptoms of gambling and gaming harms.
  • Enable professionals, parents/carers to interact with young people sensitively about gambling and gaming harms.
  • Ensure that young people, professionals, parents/carers know where to go for free, specialist help and support if they need it.

 

Workshops for young people are designed to meet the needs of groups and individuals. With sessions linked to PSHE curriculum.
