Gambling Related Harms Champions

What is a Champion?

You will be the point of contact within your organisation as a Gambling Related Harms Champion, for anyone in need of support and awareness around pathways into services, either for themselves or as the result of someone else’s gambling related harms.

What will we need from you?

  • Minimal time commitment: It does not take substantial time away from your daily work.
  • First-aider approach: You would act similar to a workplace first aider; a designated, safe point of contact.
  • Initial support: If a colleague shares that they or someone they know are experiencing gambling related harm, you are there to listen.
  • Brief chat & signpost: Your role is simply to have a quick conversation and point them toward professional referral and support pathways.

What will you get from us?

  • Resources to help you and your organisation support anyone affected by gambling-related harms.
  • Champions welcome pack.
  • A designated NECA contact.
  • Regular information bulletins.
  • Regular networking events.
  • Ability to support colleagues in your organisation.

Sign up to Register as a Gambling Related Harms Champion, or contact us if you would like further information.  We would be happy to talk you through the process and answer any questions you may have.
