Protect yourself from the cold this winter!

STEP supports service users at greater risk of harm from cold weather

During the month of December South Tyneside Harm Reduction Service in partnership with other local agencies and businesses will be providing “keep warm this winter” packs for residents accessing its service. This will include donated coats, jumpers, hats, gloves and food parcels. Service users will be encouraged to protect themselves from common winter illnesses and prepare for the cold weather

The service will be providing service users information on how to protect their health and reduce harm from cold weather. We will be encouraging service users to stay well this winter and  will be working in partnership other providers to provide PHE risk reduction awareness (e.g. flu vaccinations, signposting for winter warmth initiatives).
